explosions in the sky

so i haven't been keeping up with this thing at all. quite frankly, i had forgotten about it for a while until i noticed it on my facebook. i don't really have anything new to write about but i figured i better put something out there for my (2) loyal followers. school is up and running and summer has past. im still in summer mode and will probably stay that way until christmas rolls around. i'm not looking forward to pants and sweatshirts during my hike to class from F dorm. last weekend was the first football and with that came the parents. its only the second weekend since class has started and i already can't seem to get away from the family. i didn't mind them coming, and it was actually quite fun. they are coming again this weekend and i'm looking forward to the idea of a filled up gas tank and free food.

things in the now.
since i have nothing better to do, ill let you all know what occupies my time at this present moment. recently, my roommates and i have played wii for hours a day. not just two or three, but five or six. when im sitting in calc 3, i'm thinking of the wii. lunch = wii. sleeping = wii. i wake up and play a quick game right before class and come back to the room to find someone else playing. it was a good investment on rob's part and it definitely gets enough use. i've become pretty good at the wii golf and decent at bowling. i'll kick your ass anywhere anytime so just test me. musically, ive been playing alot of guitar. primarily, ive been playing the solo to "stairway to heaven" and dave. jarrod and i have learned a few guitar parts together and we duet a little bit together. nothing special but its still better than playing by myself. i found out that rob like the band explosions in the sky and have rekindled my dim flame about them. he gave me all their stuff i didnt have and am infatuated with their "the rescue" EP. it was written and recorded in eight days and the calming music drowns me to sleep every night with their emphatic sound. i just finished reading Fahrenheit 451 and just started The Old Man and the Sea by hemingway. its a quick, easy read and will hopefully be a good story.

i've run out of things to write about.
